I’m a Business Improvement & Delivery Partner, which means I don’t just advise from the sidelines. I get involved.
That might mean working out what’s really causing a problem, improving the way the business operates, leading a project, supporting a period of change, or bringing more clarity and accountability to the work.
I combine practical business thinking with hands-on delivery, so the work doesn’t stop at recommendations.

Everything starts with a conversation. You don’t need to know exactly what kind of help you need before you get in touch.
I start by understanding what’s happening in the business, what you’re trying to achieve and where things are getting stuck.
From there, I define what needs to happen, shape the plan and take the lead on moving it forward.
That might mean improving a process, leading a project, introducing clearer ways of working, or bringing in specialist expertise where needed.

About Claire
Concentrated Support is led by me, Claire.
I've spent 17 years helping businesses improve how they operate, lead people, navigate change and get important work delivered.
Over the years, I've worked in fast-moving creative, tech and service businesses, with experience spanning business operations, studio management and HR.
I'm CIPD Level 5 qualified and have a degree in Sociology and Social Psychology, which probably explains why I've always been just as interested in the people behind a business as I am in the systems and processes.
I'm naturally drawn to the bigger picture.

After many years working in London, I relocated to the Scottish Borders with my family in 2021. Today, I work with businesses across the UK, combining clear thinking, practical judgement and a strong understanding of people to help good businesses get better.
Business Book Club
I started the Business Book Club as a relaxed space for business owners, leaders and curious minds to come together, exchange ideas and explore books that spark better thinking - in business and beyond.
You don’t need to have finished the book to join in. The point is the conversation: sharing perspectives, learning from other people’s experiences and making useful connections along the way.
It’s informal, friendly and open to anyone who enjoys good conversation and new ideas.

No two businesses or projects are the same, so I scope each piece of work around what needs to change, what needs to be delivered and the level of involvement required.
That might mean a focused piece of business improvement work, leading an important project, or providing ongoing hands-on support over a longer period.
I work on a project, retained or ad hoc basis, depending on what will achieve the best result.
